PIONEER BOWL X PRESS CONFERENCE SCHEDULED

Columbia, SC- The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) will host a press conference for the participating teams in the upcoming Pioneer Bowl X on Thursday November 29, 2007 beginning at 6:30 pm. The Athletic Directors, Coaches and players from Tuskegee University (10-0) and Virginia Union University (9-2) will be on hand to answer questions. SIAC Commissioner Dr. William E. Lide and CIAA Assistant Commissioner Jeffrey McLeod will also be on hand to answer any questions from media and fans. The Press conference is scheduled to begin just prior to the Pioneer Bowl Banquet with Special Guest Steve Spurrier. Coach Spurrier may also be available for limited questions as well. Pioneer Bowl X is the only NCAA sanctioned bowl game for HBCU’s. The Bowl Game features the Champion of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and will take place on December 1, 2007 in Columbia, SC at Charlie W. Johnson Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00 pm and will air live on ESPNU.
